Two of Wands
The two of wands is a card all about vision and adventure and taking the necessary action to implement said vision. While there are a lot of symbols on the card to support this, the picture itself is pretty clearly showing us this.
At first glance we can see that while he has material wealth and status, he is very much wanting to move beyond what he has already acquired and out into the world. Perhaps he wants to see what else he can gain from venturing out and trusting his vision. If he has done it once, what says he cannot do it again? One could say he has the energy or drive of an explorer, just from looking at him. His red cloak and hat represent material connection and or material success, while his place atop the castle represents he has also gained the trust of those who he rules over. According to Madame Pamita in the Magical Tarot:
“While his intention may look like a material goal to the outside world, and may have been his original motive, the lily and rose reflect that his mission embraces both material and spiritual goals.”
When this card comes up in a reading, it means that it’s time to act on a vision that you have been thinking about or focusing on. If you need to gain clarity before you leap into the unknown, then it is a good time to formulate a plan to move forward with your vision/exploration. This card can also mean that any vision or plan acted on should be done so with trust in your ultimate success. The way is open before you, you simply need to take action. Sure, you may have some challenges but thats just part of the process and as long as you believe in the plan/vision/mission, you will succeed.
I always feel like this card can often represent a sort of dissatisfaction with ones current status. Not necessarily in a bad or negative way, but the kind of dissatisfaction that drives you to go bigger or do better. Why settle when you can gain more and see more and experience more? It will serve your growth to set out on this journey! Go for it!
