Nine of Disks
The nine of disks or pentacles is one of my favorite suit cards, besides the nine of cups. Though unlike the nine of cups, one can get a very clear idea of what this card means simply by looking at its details and the picture of abundance it creates. We see a woman in beautifully extravagant flowing robes, and a custom fitted hat, standing in a garden overflowing with an abundance of disks and crops, holding a falcon. Her had is covered in a thick leather glove, and the falcon has blinders on, indicating this woman has trained the falcon. The amount of time and commitment that takes is commendable and ultimately well worth it as that falcon will do the work of keeping her garden pest free so she doesn’t have to. The falcon may even act as a messenger bird, preventing her from having to take long journeys, to get a message to someone, that would ultimately take time away from her work.
