Nine of Disks

The nine of disks or pentacles is one of my favorite suit cards, besides the nine of cups. Though unlike the nine of cups, one can get a very clear idea of what this card means simply by looking at its details and the picture of abundance it creates.

We see a woman in beautifully extravagant flowing robes, and a custom fitted hat, standing in a garden overflowing with an abundance of disks and crops, holding a falcon. Her had is covered in a thick leather glove, and the falcon has blinders on, indicating this woman has trained the falcon. The amount of time and commitment that takes is commendable and ultimately well worth it as that falcon will do the work of keeping her garden pest free so she doesn’t have to. The falcon may even act as a messenger bird, preventing her from having to take long journeys, to get a message to someone, that would ultimately take time away from her work. As we can see, her commitment to her work, or tending her garden, has resulted in an unparalleled level of abundance. She has more then enough of everything and ideally the crops that she has grown and tended to will continue to replenish themselves with minimal upkeep. The prominent colors of red and yellow signify not only material wealth, but a certain level of groundedness in the material world, that makes gaining and nourishing wealth easy as if it is a natural skill. This woman is very content with her garden and her opulent life, knowing she has everything she needs within her, to create an ideal and prosperous situation where she will not want for anything. She knows she has everything she needs because she has given her garden time to thrive and in doing so has truly become rich, in more ways than one.

Receiving this card in a reading indicates you are coming into a new level of material wealth, and/or that you are already in a desired state of wealth and abundance. Take the time to recognize yourself for all you have done for your self and to create the life that you dreamt of. While the cards pulled alongside this card, and it’s position in the reading can indicate some variables, there really isn’t anything that can take this level of material happiness away from you. Often we do not recognize just how far we have come or how much time and effort we have put into creating our dream life and we need a reminder ti stop and smell the roses, giving gratitude for all that brought us to this place. I affectionately refer to this card as “THAT bitch with a bird” because like damn she is straight up balling and she knows it. This card dares you to be that way with yourself and recognize your abundant worth.
