Queen of Disks

The queen of disks is such a powerful card of abundance, and it is rife with symbolism, as all cards are. Let’s take a look…

Here we see a queen, situated comfortable on her throne, surround by various signs of prosperity(gold coin/disk, fertility(rabbit), and abundance(flowering vines, grapes). This queen gazes at her disc, not only appreciative of what she has received from sharing her gifts with the world, but knowing that she will also be able to share her wealth with others in exchange for their gifts and services. Her tunic is a deep red, her robe a lush green somewhat resembling a field of rich grass, both colors of material wealth, pleasure, and prosperity. This queen delights in the richness of material experience and has put in the energy to ensure mutually beneficial exchanges will be her reward. Her throne is decorated with smiling cherubs, more fruit, and a goats head, a firm reminder that even though she has reached a place where the abundance of the universe has blessed her, she is still firmly planted on earth and grounded like a Capricorn, and like a Capricorn embodied the qualities of practicality, perserverence, tradition and determination.

Receiving the queen of disks in a reading could be a sign that you are going to be embodying this queens energy, or someone around you may be as well. What an excellent card to let you know your hard work is bound to pay off or that you will be receiving dividends on your ability to allow abundance to flow through you. It could also point to wealth coming in, often times in the form of an inheritance, dividends, a raise, or something as a result of a long term investment. Either way, she is a sure fire sign that your relationship to abundance is about to be checked.

As always, any cards around this queen, or where the card is found in a spread, can determine more in regards to how/where/when. Rarely is this a card you do not want in a reading. This divine feminine energy hits different than the divine masculine energy of the king of disks, and while they have a lot in common, the queen is the one who flows.
