Ace of wands

 In some aspects, the ace of wands is similar to all the other ace cards. But like the other cards there are a few differences that are appropriate for the suit of wands. 

Like all ace cards, the ace of wands represents new energy and in this case it is a passionate fiery energy that is calling you to act on your hopes and dreams with all the passion and vigor of a twenty year old. On the stick we see some new growth popping out at the top, 10 leaves attached and 8 leaves falling. This leads to a small mountain range that stands between the river and an extravagant castle. The sky is clear and there seems to be nothing standing between you grabbing that stick and running head first towards that glorious castle.

The common message of ace cards, besides new energy, is a resounding “yes” from the universe. Whatever question you’re asking, it’s a yes! Especially if you approach it with passion and vigor... as wands are the physical representation of passion, vigor, and sexuality. The hand coming out of a cloud from seemingly nowhere represents a sort of divine gift or intervention accentuated by the halo that appears around it. While the total number of leaves is 18, it is more important to pay attention to the leaves falling off, as the number 8 correlates to wealth, fortune/fame, and turned on its side it is an eternity symbol representing cycling of energy into a new phase, as that is what energy is constantly doing. The beautiful landscape that is between the hand in the foreground and the castle in the background shows that the way is clear even if there are a few challenges, they should be minimal. The castle in the back is the symbol of all your wildest dreams coming true as a result of you persevering, and running towards your dreams with vigor and an unmatchable fiery passion.

For me, the ace of wands is all of these things but it is also the sign that you are ready to move forward with passion. I find that it most often comes up when people want to forge out on their own but do not feel supported to do so. Too often we don’t believe in our own ability to be amazing and powerful and the ace of wands is here to remind us we have all we need and the universe even has our back!! It is a reminder that we need to be passionate in our pursuits, even if others do not get where we’re coming from, they will eventually. Ace of wands can also represent a sort of sexual awakening or connection to our sacred sexual powers of creation and manifestation. It is not a card to be taken lightly, that is for sure.
