Eight of Disks
The eight of disks is a card that I have learned to love. It is another card from which one can infer the message quite easily just by looking at it.
We see a craftsperson sitting at their workbench, and crafting pentacles using tools of their trade. This person is outside of the city limits, alone and focused on the task at hand. Displayed in front of them are all the pentacles theyve completed, with one in progress, and one underneath the bench towards the back, presumably one that didn’t turn out as desired. He is dressed in red tights signifying material connection, while his tunic is blue signifying intuitive/spiritual connection. He has found a spiritual connection in his material work, and his dedication to his craft has filled his life with riches beyond his imagination. After all, the person making the tokens will keep a fair percentage indeed.
This card is about the joy of committing to one’s craft with passion and a deep desire to traverse through whatever difficulties may come to pass in the process of growing and evolving it. Receiving this card signals your passion for your work or craft will not only provide you with a steady and generous income but that you will find deep satisfaction in following your calling. It can also remind you that failure is part of the process and it is necessary to move gracefully through mistakes or failures to increase your skill and guarantee long lasting success. A wonderful card to show you that you’re doing the worm and the rewards are on their way, so long as you keep following the path, one foot at a time.
