Queen of Swords
The first of the female court cards, the queen of swords has so much to offer us. This card is rich and deep showing the power of someone who has worked to be the mistress of their mind. Sitting high on her throne, this queen has a lot to teach us. We see a regal woman sitting high on a ornamental throne, decorated in cloud covered robes, wearing a crown, and wielding a sword that is pointing high into the clear blue sky. While the clear blue sky is above her, a single bird soaring in it, below it is filled with fluffy grey clouds. Her throne is covered with butterflies, and the head and wings of a cherub. Her crown also is decorated with gold butterflies. Her right hand holds the sword straight up into the sky while her left hand is open as if to receive, her wrist decorated with prayer beads.
